Oppo Digital, well-known for their Blu-ray players and headphones among both regular and headphone audiophiles, have announced that they will no longer develop and manufacture new products.
Existing products will continue to be sold and will receive support into the future, including firmware updates if required.
The announcement comes as sales of their products are dwindling in the face of a market more focussed on internet-based streaming.
The PM-1 and PM-3 headphones were well-received, both featuring uniquely constructed diaphragms and very well-made. Their departure will be something of a disappointment.
