iFi Audio has announced their new Neo iDSD DAC and headphone amp for £699, though one retailer pre-announced it at US$1099. Featuring a headphone amplifier with 1 Amp output and a fully featured DAC that can support PCM decoding up to 768 kHz and DSD512, as well as MQA, the DAC uses a 16-core XMOS processor to do most of the decoding, with iFi’s preferred Burr Brown DACs doing the digital-to-analog conversion.
Unique for the Neo iDSD is the ability to use it vertically or horizontally.
